I had a little realisation today: the reason the Fresh Prince theme tune is so catchy and memorable is that it’s to the tune of the Gingerbread Man nursery rhyme. Take a peek at this Youtube vid of the Fresh Prince intro and sing the gingerbread man lyrics over top:
Run, run, run as fast as you can.
You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man.
I ran from the baker and from his wife too.
You can’t catch me, not any of you.
Ok so there’s more verses but I don’t know then and I’m sure that you get the idea. Can you think of any more like this one?
